Think of Pepsi, Target, Pottery Barn, or Barbie. Chances are, in doing so, you also think about the color scheme, the logo, and the overall feel that the brand is trying to portray.
What you just experienced, is effective branding.
Let’s take Target for example (if only because I’m a bit obsessed ;)). If Target’s logo was red one minute and blue the next, then chances are it would lose it’s iconic and well-known recognition. If the Target logo was sometimes replaced by a rose, you’d be confused and likely wouldn’t attribute the portrayal with the well-known brand. The same goes for the feel of the brand. The red and simplistic typography, accompanied by the ever adorable Bullseye mascot pup gives the brand a welcoming, down-to-earth feel- effectively grabbing the attention of it’s target (no pun intended) population. On the flip side, had Target chosen scrolling typography with gold accents and a diamond ring, customers would be confused. Not only would it be portraying a shopping experience that didn’t match the indoor elements; but the wrong customers would flock through those automatic doors and likely never return.
While your brand may not be Target, and you may not even be planning a brick and mortar store- the same branding philosophy applies to you!

We’ll start with a call. At this time I’ll explain all the details of the design process. I’ll answer your questions and help you select the package that works best for your needs.
Once you book your spot, we’ll jump right in. Reserving a spot in my design studio means your success and design dreams are now my top priority. I’ll begin by sending you a document to answer questions specific to your desires. Furthermore, I’ll ask you pull together your inspiration (Pinterest boards work great for this) so that I can start to learn more about your vision for your brand.
This is where it gets really fun. With your vision in mind, I will create a customized branding sheet. This will include specific colors, typography, custom logo design and alternatives, patterns, and more. Should you decide to expand into the website template design services, this is where custom website templates and pages are designed to fit in line with your brand. This will also include website headers, sidebar images, social media and email headers, etc.
I’ll hand off the finished product. After I receive your final approval for all designs, we’ll schedule one more call where we discuss the details. I answer any questions and share the steps for installation.
We’ll celebrate! Your finished product will be featured on the Simply September blog and social media channels to help build excitement for your new brand.
