If you are a proud parent or grandparent you have probably come across this scenario too many times to count\u2026<\/p>\n

Your little one comes running into the room with a huge smile on their face and their little fingers tightly gripped to their latest “masterpiece”. Eagerly they yell, “Look what I made you!”.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

You gasp in awe and commend them on yet another job well done. Then you look around your kitchen and hope to find the smallest section of a wall or corner of the refrigerator that isn’t already taken up by their numerous other masterpieces. <\/em><\/p>\n

You cringe ever so slightly about the fact that your kitchen now consumes more artwork than it does dishes, but you try not to give it another thought because after all\u2026 you know you will one day miss the constantly cluttered mark your little one left. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Don’t worry, there is hope!<\/h3>\n

If in fact, you are shaking your head in agreement, recalling this exact scenario in your mind. I am happy to share that you can have your cake and eat it too!<\/p>\n

You can (and should) continue to showcase your child’s masterpieces for years to come. In fact, the showcase often only grows as they age, switching from noodle crafts and fingerprinting to poetry, research papers, and self-portraits.<\/p>\n

However, a proud parent\/grandparent no longer has to equal a cluttered kitchen. Instead, find that perfect nook or corner in your house and turn it into your child’s “Art Gallery”, the perfect kids art display.<\/p>\n

How I created a Kids Art Display<\/h3>\n

After a recent home renovation left me with an unused corner, I decided to take advantage of the empty space. What was previously my command center (check out my new command center<\/a>), now was unused and awkward\u2026 begging for a practical purpose.<\/p>\n

I hemmed and hawed about what could possibly go into this space when my toddler came running into the room with a recent artwork in hand, “Look what I made mommy!<\/em>” and it hit me\u2026 I needed a space to display her art that would not only declutter my kitchen but showcase her talents… the ultimate kids art display.<\/p>\n

The entire process was very quick, painless, and best of all\u2026 inexpensive!<\/p>\n

I simply went to the local lumber store and picked up pieces of wood (approximately 3 inches wide) and cut them to the necessary lengths. I opted to purchase white pre-painted lumber to save myself the hassle and purchased a pack of clothespins<\/a>. I grabbed my hot glue gun<\/a> and glued clothespins equal distance across the boards. Next, I recruited my husband to help me make sure all boards were level (always helps to have another set of eyes) and secure them to the wall (only requiring a couple of screws) and the “hard” part was done!<\/p>\n

Lastly, I painted a personalized gallery sign, framed a couple pictures of our local artists (i.e. my children), and hung two picture frames on the wall at the center of focus. Another glued clothespin to the center of each frame and the entire project was done!<\/p>\n

Now each and every time my daughter comes running with a new masterpiece, I simply place it in our kids art display and enjoy it each and every day.<\/p>\n

Don’t have an empty nook begging for a purpose? No worries! Any open section of a wall will do!<\/p>\n
