However, this could not be further from the truth. From as far back as our relationship goes, my husband and I have always pledged to take the DIY Valentine&#8217;s Day gift route. Partly for sentimental value, and let&#8217;s be honest, partly in an effort to save money&#8230; but either way, it is a tradition that has spanned over a decade. Then, he hid the sticky notes throughout the entire house (all done before I ever woke up in the morning).<\/p>\n<p>After first being greeted on the bathroom mirror with a collection of sticky notes forming the shape of a heart, I loved being surrounded by his kind words. As cheesy as Valentine&#8217;s Day may be in theory, I love the fact that it reminds each of us to stop and focus on love, even if just for one day.
