While I love the winter (in moderation of course ;)), I HATE the flu season. Runny noses, trips to the doctor, missed days of school and work, cancelled plans, and overall ill-feeling… there isn’t much I wouldn’t try to avoid sickness in our household. And I know I’m not the only mom that feels this way.<\/p>\n

Every year search engines are flooded with questions pertaining to keeping those we love most free from illness. From flu shots, to essential oils, healthy diets, avoidance of germ-infested surfaces, etc. the list goes on and on.<\/p>\n

In truth, there are endless tips and suggestions for easing the effects of illness once it hits (think medication, comfort food, humidifiers, etc.). There are also ideas and suggestions to avoid getting sick in the first place (i.e. limit your child’s access to large indoor playgrounds, don’t touch shopping carts, etc.). However, the fact of the matter is that despite our very best attempts at avoiding sickness, we can’t live in fear of every last cold because life happens. Shopping trips happen. And children NEED to get out of the house and let off some energy.<\/p>\n

So What is the Answer this Flu Season?<\/h4>\n

In theory, it is just about being prepared. And being prepared means wiping those dirty hands (did you know that 80% of common infections are spread by hands?- gross!). As a busy mom of two young children, I choose to be best prepared with the help of\u00a0Nice \u2018n CLEAN\u00ae Antibacterial Hand Wipes<\/a> and it is a lot easier than you may think.<\/span><\/p>\n

By placing these small and succinct packages of hand wipes in the locations above, it becomes second nature to quickly grab one and wipe the hands of my children and myself after exposure to germs. For example, if we go shopping then the minute my children get back into the car I wipe their hands down. When they are done with school, I encourage them to open up their backpack and wash their hands. Before entering the house, they grab a wipe and wipe off their hands. By easily having them in my diaper bag or purse I grab one and utilize it before dining out or snack time for my children. Wipe, wipe, wipe… the process becomes very routine very quickly all flu season.<\/p>\n
