We typically spend a lot of summer weekends at our cabin, but our elderly dog has a heart condition and can no longer handle the altitude. I was feeling sad about not getting up to the cabin, but I bet I’d feel a lot better if we planned a couple of weekend staycations closer to home. Thanks for the inspiration! Stay-cations are great for us, and if we want to actually go somewhere, we tend to do it in late winter or early spring when we’re DONE with the snow.
