When my oldest daughter was around six months old, she began to sit independently. As wonderful as it was to witness her meeting a new milestone, I very quickly learned that this new skill came with its own set of obstacles. No longer was my little lady content to play with her infant toys.
I love to not only simplify everyday life, but also to personalize whenever possible. This is why when it came time to decorate our bar area... I knew I wanted to create a personalized menu! This look allowed me to stick to my rustic theme, while also incorporating practicality into my overall design.
More times than not, moving is an emotional time. You are leaving behind a home that often times has many memories tied to physical objects. Within those walls you may have brought your child home from the hospital. On that staircase, your teenager may have posed for their high school dance portraits. In that backyard you may have celebrated your retirement party. Whatever the association, the physical appearance of the front of that home may forever hold a special place in your heart. Or at least I knew this was the case for my family...
Are you a book lover? Or perhaps just love the classic look and simplicity of a crisp page within a novel? Then I have a project for you! This fun and easy craft is not only a perfect way to express your love for all things books, but also is a unique and classic way to decorate!
You've likely heard that someone is more prone to complete tasks if they are written down. Easy to see, easy to remember, easy to cross off... makes perfect sense. You've also likely heard (or experienced) that there is something very gratifying about being able to physically cross off a completed task. These well-known facts have led to the ever popular, TO-DO List.
January is almost here! (How is that even possible?!) Do you have your calendar printed and ready for your most organized year yet? If not, do not fear because I have created FREE monthly calendar printables for you to enjoy! This year I have designed two sets of calendars-- black & white and watercolor themed.
Staying true to my organization resolution (yes, I know it is isn't even the New Year yet, but I can start early... can't I?!) I have created a printable that will (hopefully) help both you and me stay organized for the year ahead. Is it just me, or do you have difficulty remembering all the important dates in your life as well?
Every year as New Year's Eve approaches, I tell myself that my resolution is to become more organized. Then every year, after only a few months, my organizational skills fall by the wayside. Why?-- because life gets crazy and it feels like endless needs and plans take precedence over the idea of organizing my life. However, the irony is that my life wouldn't seem half as crazy if only I had stayed organized from the start. This year, now that we are blessed with kiddo #2, I feel more than ever that I need to make a resolution of organization that will stick. So, say "hello" to my organizational command center!
